This on-demand course allows students to set their own study schedule, ensuring flexibility and minimal stress. Students can choose when to attend online lessons or work on projects, as long as deadlines are met. Dedicated web developers will be available to answer questions, provide private guidance, and give detailed feedback on all projects.

Weekly Feedback for Parents
To keep parents informed, a performance summary and project previews will be sent weekly via email. These updates will include an overview of the student’s progress, completed tasks, and personalized feedback.

Week One: Introduction to Web Development

Monday - Friday:

  • Introduction to Visual Studio Code (VS Code): Students will learn how to install and navigate this globally recognized coding software.
  • HTML I - Basics of Web Development: A foundational course covering structure, tags, and the role of HTML in web development.

Saturday - Sunday:

  • Group Project:
    • Students will be assigned to groups of 2-3 to complete a project based on the week's learning.
    • Groups are randomly selected to simulate real-world collaboration and improve communication skills.
    • Projects must be submitted by Sunday night.

Week Two: Expanding HTML Knowledge

Monday - Friday:

  • HTML II - Advanced HTML: Students will deepen their understanding of HTML with advanced techniques.
  • CSS I - Introduction to Web Design: Basics of styling and layout principles.

Saturday - Sunday:

  • Group Project Continuation:
    • The same groups will enhance their websites using newly learned CSS and advanced HTML techniques.

Week Three: UI/UX and Advanced Design

Monday - Friday:

  • UI/UX Principles:
    • Introduction to user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design.
    • Learn how companies apply these principles to create effective designs.
  • CSS II - Advanced Styling: Advanced concepts for creating visually stunning web pages.

Saturday - Sunday:

  • Redesign Project:
    • Students will work in newly assigned groups to improve the design of an existing poorly designed or minimally styled website.
    • The focus will be on applying UI/UX principles to enhance usability, visual appeal, and user experience.

Week Four: Performance and Independent Projects

Monday - Friday:

  • HTML III - Advanced Techniques: Students will explore advanced methods for structuring websites.
  • Web Performance Optimization: Understanding speed optimization, responsive design, and best practices.

Saturday - Sunday:

  • Solo Project:
    • Students will work independently to improve the performance of a prebuilt website.
    • Judging criteria include quality, and performance optimization.

Week Five: Team Collaboration

Monday - Sunday:

  • Large-Scale Group Project:
    • Students will be randomly divided into larger teams to enhance the design and functionality of a complex webpage.
    • Tasks include improving communication, organizing responsibilities, and collaboratively solving design challenges.
    • Performance tracking and personalized feedback will be provided for each student.

Week Six: Debugging and Mastery

Monday - Friday:

  • HTML IV - Mastering Web Development: Advanced-level training to refine web development skills.
  • Debugging Skills: Learn how to identify, troubleshoot, and fix errors effectively.

Saturday - Sunday:

  • Error-Finding Challenge:
    • Each student will receive a prebuilt website with intentional errors and incomplete design.
    • The objective is to debug and improve the site’s usability and appearance.

Week Seven: Advanced HTML and CSS

Monday - Sunday:

  • HTML V - Expert-Level Skills: Mastering advanced web development concepts.
  • CSS III - Expert Styling Techniques: Learn cutting-edge styling methods for professional websites.

Week Eight: Final Project and Certification

Monday - Sunday:

  • Individual Capstone Project:
    • Each student will develop an advanced website as their final project.
    • This project will have the highest weight in the overall grading process, focusing on creativity, design enhancement, and technical execution.
  • Top 3 Selection:
    • The top 3 students will be determined based on their final projects and overall performance throughout the course.

Completion Certificates

  • All Students: Receive a Certificate of Completion for successfully finishing the course.
  • Top 3 Students: Receive special recognition certificates for their exceptional performance.
